Alone in the snow - Poem
(Single line rhyme & Triple line rhyme)
Why would you not hear
You listened not, to the words that I gave
You acted with pride
But from me, you can't hide
To your feelings and heart I do slave
With attention, drowned
And arrogance, crowned
All your loved ones, you let slip away
But I went along
Just writing this song
Hoping you'd revert, some day
Your new "friends" are hollow
In your wealth they do wallow
Without items, their care for you goes
You'll realise to late
Thus meet a harsh fate
But in this moment, only arrogance grows
Now you squander your skill
At the word of their will
Why can't you see, it is you who's controlled?
Your songs have grown tired
No new words are inspired
You're given up, like merchandise, sold
You're then asked to leave
Wipe you're eyes on your sleeve
You accept it, no whimper or hark
You retreat to your lair
No crying or prayer
And you mourn the last day, 'till it's dark
Your "friends" are all gone
Without them you're one
Tears of a Rose - Poem
There once went a story,
Of a dazzling flower
This rugged, but beautiful mare
She disdained but one stallion
A prince amongst men
Who seemed, so lacking of care
Upon, once a time
The prince and the rose
Would meet on a moonlit, starred night
A small, wagered brawl
That the prince would attend
So he could view, this most brutish of fights
The prince wore a hood
Obscuring his face
None recognised, nor asked his name
The wild rose approached
Intrigued by this man
She saw a commoner, no man of fame
For hours, they spoke
Their true hearts did shine
And the prince, thought it time to reveal
So he led her outside
Away from the fight
As the door, behind them did seal
The sparkling night shone
Like a thousand bright jewels
And the prince, began to spill truth
At first Rose was shocked
But it mattered not
To his mouth, she held up a hoof
Wrong was her judgement
Of this prince from before
Arrogant, she thought, at the start
Instead he was clever
Caring and kind
A gent, with a truly good heart
How It Began"God, your two o'clock is here."
"I have a two o'clock?"
"He's been here since 7:45. I figured it's only polite to... sir."
God sighed. "Fine, send him in."
While He waited God cleared His desk of papers and blueprints; no need for outsiders to see His plans. Soon enough the door to His office opened and God stood, smiled, held out a hand towards one of the two visitor's chairs.
"God! Great stuff you're doing in sector 2-7-0! Great stuff!"
The man's hands were clammy, his handshake limp. Rumpled suit, porkpie hat, briefcase... oh Jes-- oh dear, a salesman. God's smile slipped a little but He soldiered on gamely. With luck He could shoo the poor guy away in a few minutes.
"So, what can I do for you?"
The man sat, briefcase across his knees. "Sector 2-7-0! Everyone's talking about it! What do you call it? Man and merman?"
"Man and woman, actually. And thanks. But we're pretty busy around here, and..."
"Oh! Right! No time for the wicked, eh?" The salesman winked and popped his briefcase,
